Long before modern motorcycles dominated Southeast Asia's roads, Vietnam was home to a remarkable influx of European and American machines. During the periods of French colonial presence and later the American era, numerous prestigious motorcycle marques were officially imported into Vietnam. These motorcycles were brought by French administrators, military personnel, American officers, diplomats, engineers, and international merchants who required reliable transportation across the region.
Beyond official use, affluent Vietnamese businessmen and elite families of the time also imported motorcycles directly from Europe and the United States. These machines were not merely vehicles, they were symbols of engineering excellence, mobility, and status.
When the wars ended and new decades began, the landscape of transportation changed dramatically. Modern Japanese motorcycles became widespread, practical, and affordable. The great European and American classics gradually disappeared from daily roads. Many were stored away, neglected, or quietly preserved in private hands across the countryside.
For decades, these historic machines remained hidden, untouched witnesses to an extraordinary period of history.
Our journey began with the careful search for these surviving motorcycles throughout Vietnam. We have sourced machines from remote provinces, private estates, old warehouses, and family collections - uncovering authentic pieces of motorcycling heritage that had not seen the road for generations.
Each motorcycle we acquire carries not only mechanical value, but also cultural and historical significance.
Once sourced, every machine undergoes a meticulous, ground-up restoration process. We utilize globally recognized suppliers and specialists to ensure every component meets the highest standards of historical correctness and mechanical reliability.
Wherever possible, we use original parts. When originals are no longer obtainable, we source the most accurate period-correct components available internationally.
